I'm working with a network where I need not only the subID, but also an additional piece of information.

So they need an additional variable in the postback URL to do so.

Is this possible?

Thanks!

Exactly what extra variable are they requiring specifically?

The current postback link is:

http://mydomain.com/tracking202/static/pb.php?acip=1217&subid=

And the network obviously inserts the subid at the end of the above URL. But the additional piece of info I need is the sale amount, because it fluctuates on every conversion. So they would need something like '&subid2=' added to the end of it so the amount could be dynamically inserted.

But as I write this - I realize that P202 would then need a way to write this to the database. So the bottom line is that I need them to be able to postback the sale amount info and then for me to be be able to retrieve it from one of the P202 reports.

Thanks,

Greg

Okay I get what you're saying. Currently 202 isn't set up to do varying amounts. We were going to do it but it's on the long list of to dos and with the new tracking coming out, it was delayed.

I will have to see if there is anything we can do out this.

Can they just ignore the sale amount for now?

They can and will - but then I need to go to the site anyway and download the reports to get the sales info, which precludes the need for postback.

I mean can the post back URL just update the SUBIDs for you automatically, but just not have the sale data. So it'll still work, just the sale % won't work because its not yet supported in t202.

In other words I'd think u can still use the post-back url to automatically update T202's subids, but just not the sale data.
