I can probably read thru and spend another hour 2 heck even 3 but thought id ask the method to setup CPA campaigns for my PPC work.

Is there a method that works and is efficient? as it is I am doing the following with email offers and prosper is tracking some, not all and its not always adding sub ids to the sponsor urls. at least they arent recording 100% at copeac..

anyway heres what I do

Create all my pages

Get keywords ready and use SpeedPPC3 to get things ready

Open up prosper and enter all info, get to step 4 and always choose advanced page.. I enter site url, right down to the index.php (not sure if that is correct)

I skip step 5 now, but not sure if that is always recommended

Step 6 i get codes for advanced page.. I take the Java snippet and enter it in right above the closing body tag of the "Landing Page" , index.php .. Thats it for the Java snippet, correct? Cause i put it nowhere else.

Then I take the PHP redirection code and enter it on the page that I link to after the RESULTS.php - I say Congrats you qualify yadadada. click here and that is page that is "offer.php" which has PHP redirection snippet above the HTML tag.

Am i missing something blatant so far?

Then I take step 7 and copy the part at the end of the url

ie: index.php?t202id=6189&t202kw=

I add

{keyword}&seed={seed}

and insert that into speed ppc..

upload campaigns, and hope for a kind editor on staff at google..

Am I doing this kinda right, exactly right or .....

.

thanks a lot great app once u get comfortable with it ;)

Yes you setup everything pretty much to the T, there could be one small thing that messes people up though, its the cookie problem. Just to double check I assume every time the visitor is being recorded on the SPY VIEW correct?

The only real big error then that may be causing the subid to drop is this: http://prosper202.com/forum/6/21/no-subids-showing-in-aff-network#3622

How are you downloading your subids from COPEAC?

Are you goting to STATS >> DOWNLOAD OPTIONAL INFO?

If so it only downloads the "CONVERTED SUBIDS" in that spot.

wow ur quick ;)

ya i am using www. convention throughtout... spy is logging 100% from what I can tell but its NOT showing the amounts of surfers that copeac is reporting.. its not showing redirect urls for many (up to 50%) of my surfers who make it to the offer page..

strange indeed. all my pages on site are linked within same directory tho, so they dont have full URL's they are just <a href="redirect.php"> for example.. but its consistent throughout so I dont think its that.

Also, does copeac have a way inside to see sub ids that DONT convert? (I use the o=sub id, the OTHER info option)

thx

Ah Ok that is maybe it.

on the SPY view, it won't show the REDIRECTS OUT, if they don't click through. And if they don't click through it wont register a click/or a subid on the COPEAC side.

Heres a better gauge I believe to see if its working, how many LEADS is COPEAC showing, and then for the same 'timeline' how many SUBIDS does it give you when you download the subid report.

Haha thanks, sorry for this delayed response though! was out all today, At this moment no, there isn't any way to track a 2nd ctr. If you needed that, you might consider getting a small custom script done to record multiple click troughs to more than 1 page.

To be honest I don't know anyone who's ever done this, most people only have 1 page CTR to get to the offer. If you need to rent-a-coder or something, maybe that'd be the best route. Google Website Optimizer may have something as well.

Or google analytics might be able to tell u that, it tells u the BOUNCE RATE for each page, from a certain page I believe.
