Post subject: The .csv file you uploaded didn't match the network you selected
|
|
I'm getting the error "The .csv file you uploaded didn't match the network you selected" when uploading a campaign from a .csv file from Adwords Editor, and I tell it that it is from Google Adwords.
I'm using the latest AE, which is verions 6.0?
I get the same error hosted Export202, as well as selfhosted.
Any ideas?

hmmm....
just updated to 1.04. I tried uploading the file again, same exact error.
This is an export file direct from Adwords Editor for a single campaign.

Could u send me the 1st line of the .csv your trying to upload. The line that doesn't show any campaign data, just the one that shows. like
CAMAPAIGN NAME.....
and then all the options.
wes@tracking202.com
and I can check it out!

Hi Wes, I'm getting the same error when trying to convert an Adwords csv to Yahoo.
In case you haven't received the info from the other poster, the first line of my csv is:
Campaign
Campaign Daily Budget
Ad Group
Max CPC
Max Content CPC
Placement Max CPC
Max CPM
Max CPA
Keyword
Website
Keyword Type
Min CPC
Headline
Description Line 1
Description Line 2
Display URL
Destination URL
Campaign Status
AdGroup Status
Creative Status
Keyword Status
Website Status
Suggested Changes
Comment
Thanks,
Steve

Ok now try redownloading 1.0.4 again, and re-uploading.
I think I fixed it, dang PC/MAC .csv are different on adwords editor.

Does it also error on export202.com?
I'm testing it like crazy and I can't get it to break anymore with PC adwords and Mac Adwords.
Can u send me the actual .csv file? wes@tracking202.com you can remove all the data from it, but leave out the top line. I got the one you sent earlier, but if u could leave it in the actual .csv file your trying to upload I can see whats causing it.

Just tried export202.com. Doesn't work there either.
I'll send you the csv I'm using minus my campaign info. :)

It's working now.
Thanks for staying on top of this Wes.
Hey, I'm in San Jose and was thinking about joining one of your meetups, but I just can't talk myself into driving around and parking in the City.

Hi Wes,
I'm using the latest version of AE 6.0.1 and am getting this error message myself. I am using Vista. I have tried it with each type of .csv that AE lets you export. Is there another update that is needed?
Thanks,
Rick

Are you Mac or PC?
Your campaign isn't a placement targeted campaign is it, or a STATE targeted campaign? Are you able to dumify some of the data and send me the .csv to see what it looks like?

Hi Wes,
I am having the same issue ("The .csv file you uploaded diddn't match the network you selected").
I'm using WindowsXP, AdWord Editor 6.0.1, and tried it on both the self-hosted version and the Export202.com version - neither work.
I am attempting to convert from Google to Yahoo.
Thanks in advance.

Ok, I got your email, can you modify the COLUMS to make them fit this exact layout, there is an extra setting on your adwords editior that is adding extra colums and breaking the layout. If you can align them like this, and delete the ones that aren't there, it should work, this is the format its' looking for:
http://prosper202.com/files/export202-adwords-example.csv
The csv "first line" that you sent me had all of this:
Campaign Campaign Daily Budget Ad Group Max CPC Max Content CPC Placement Max CPC Max CPM Max CPA Keyword Website Keyword Type Min CPC Headline Description Line 1 Description Line 2 Image Name Image Size Display URL Destination URL Campaign Status AdGroup Status Creative Status Keyword Status Website Status Suggested Changes Comment Impressions Clicks CTR Avg CPC Avg CPM Cost Avg Position Conversions Conversion Rate Cost / Conversion
--
It has images, and stuff like that, which we can't convert yet.

Hi Wes,
Thanks, I'll try this.
You mentioned "there is an extra setting on your adwords editior that is adding extra colums and breaking the layout." -- can you tell me what this setting is? Might be easier for me to just change this setting and then export it again.
Thanks.
