Post subject: Zip/Email submit experiences?
|
|
I'm wondering what everyone's experiences are with zip/email submits. I just recently learned about them (here on these forums), and I'm trying out one campaign right now, just for fun. But, I'm curious if anyone else is doing well with these?
They seem to have a really low barrier to entry (getting paid), especially the zips. Does anyone have any tricks to this type of campaign?

Well.. the conversions are unrealistically low a lot of the time and then when I'll test one out, the lead sometimes won't register.

What network do you go through with those? Could it be the network's problem?

Meh.. I've tried em on like 3 networks. I think it's more the advertiser.
Don't get me wrong, I'm no pro, but this is just what it seems like. I know people make money on these.
Like I ran one today.. Got about 1850 clicks overnight and like 80 leads. Obviously a lot of it depends on how you are generating the traffic, but I found that hard to believe.

Interesting. I'd love to know what advertiser so I can stay away from them, if you don't mind. And yea, that conversion seems really low. Bummer.

Yeah I was promoting a ringtones offer once, and consistently everyday they said my clicks were HALF of what t202 reported each time, consistently. So I believe the network was scraping 50% of my clicks, it was like every other click they took for themselves.
So yeah the advertiser could scrap, and the network could scrap. It'd almost be good to test different networks with the same offers, sometimes that is the best way to do it.
Someone actually said CXDigital had a 17% increase in conversions running the same ringtones campaign than another network, so I'm trying them out.

Honestly it's been quite a few. I don't want to mislead you though. Really just try to give them a shot. Like if you pull in 100 clicks at less than $.10/click and get no conversions, i'd stop and just try another.

Yahoo is a bit picky when it comes to submits in general. If it collects information, they don't like it.
What PPC engine do you use?

Well I was using adwords and yahoo, but recently just yahoo. Is adwords less picky when it comes to those?

Not certain, I've been using YSM these days.
Have you tried other sources of traffic? I believe MSN allows it, then again, the volume doesn't compare to Google's.

Adwords isn't necessarily super picky as long as you're willing to pay the $10 price tag per click LOL j/k

On CPAempire, I found a campaign that converted really well. One of the keywords I bidded on had about a 40% conversion rate, and I was not paying very much for it. I was really happy until my AM sent me an email saying that they had to take me off the campaign. :(
I've gone away from email and zip submits, but I still have about 5 campaigns running.

Why did they take you off? The campaign ended or something else was up?
