This may be the kind of question no one will answer as it's asking for too much, but maybe it's not, I don't know.

Anyway, what method have you guys found works well when running zip / email submits that deal with giveaways, you know like this:

'fill in your zipcode and win a free XXXXX'

I've heard people say they've had success putting up pages based on current events, something like - who do you think should be president, give your opinion and get a chance to win a free XXXXX. This method seems like it would work well but it would depend on a constant stream of news that people feel inclined to search for, ie. not steady.

What else would you guys suggest? Bidding on keywords for the item that is being offered?

Any advice would be very appreciated!

I've known a few people that actually have done this and some actually did do presidential campaigns to promote such a thing. The results will vary between people and how they promote or run their campaign. Some people have had successes, others did not.

That said, is it constant upkeep because you're keeping with news categories like you said unless you landed on a niche that is constantly current, however in most cases, this is not the case and that's more upkeep than some are willing to maintain.

Personally there are a few different ways you can approach this but but offers like these are a bit hard to game on the PPC side unless you have a website you are offering these on.
