I have made a really professional looking landing page in photoshop, then brought it into dreamweaver cleaned it up a bit, added links and what not. However now it loads really slow, I even sliced it up but now it just loads in pieces.

I am getting a bunch of clicks on my ads, and no conversions and I am pretty sure the slow load time has a lot to do with it.

Any suggestions on how to make it load faster? Or maybe go with a less fancy landing page?

What file format are your images in? I assume you have a bunch of image files and maybe large files? It shouldn't take that long but of course every internet connection is different. Check to see if you can change the image type.

They were in .png and looked quite nice, however I just exported them as .jpg and they quality dropped a bit, but the load time dropped in half according to dreamweaver. So hopefully that should help a bit.

No problem, try check the load time base on FF load time if you're using FF as your browser. Dreamweaver is a major system hog starting up and stuff and depending on the computer, may analyze things a bit off.

Is it loading slow? If you get FIREBUG you can use the LOAD-TIME-ANALYZER that will show you how long EACH ITEM took to load.

Thanks for the replies. I will be sure to check out FIREBUG and the script. I also remade the landing page so it is a bit more optimized for speed this time. I managed to get half the load time this time around.
