Ok so I have messed around with affiliate marketing for sometime now and I have been looking at offers to promote, but I just dont know what a good landing page would be. Like I have tried direct linking and I know that it doesnt selling very well because you really need a landing page, but what kind of LP? How do you know it will sell? How do you know which kind of LP to make for each offer? Any help would be awesome. Thanks everyone

Direct linking isn't bad. It's more than simply having a good lp or not good lp. Your campaign as a whole directly affects it's performance and this includes everything outside of DL and LP as well.

As for how you will know it will sell or not, that's why we test. Unfortunately there isn't a finite formula to saying a LP will work just because we make one.

Typically you want to think of your LP as a presale page unless you're building a site. You want it simple, elegant, and straight to the point. You want it to highly all the main points, and have it be direct with the offer.

So like the LP just needs to have more information and try to get them intrigued then get them to want to sign up or buy?

It really varies from campaign to campaign. Depending on the offer page itself, sometimes it makes sense to simplify the offer so that all the selling points are listed on the LP and when they click over to complete the sale or lead on the offer page, they're ready to just fill it out.

Other times it's not so simple. And it gets more complicated if you're doing sales for several products through a vendor and need to create a LP that is a gallery for all the products for example. Again, this is pretty much a case by case thing but usually, you want to simplify it to be catchy and draw attention.

I like to do landing pages or review sites with opt in box either with XsitePRO or Wordpress cause it improves conversions. Plus i can follow up and make sales months down the road. The database is precious!
